About This Product

If on the lookout for a euphorbia with character in droves, you'd certainly choose wisely by adding Euphorbia horrida (African milk barrel) to your space. This is an unusual, attractively grayish white to green succulent that produces leafless, ribbed cylindrical stems that are adorned seasonally by small but intriguing flowers. The plant suckers from the base, creating a layered mix of lower, lateral-looking, younger stems to thicker, more upright, older stems. There is a faint zipper pattern between the ridges of the stems. Especially when the small ornamental flowers are present on the ridge lines, the plant is an intricately detailed, clump-forming art piece. Just for good measure, some stems may show a waviness. This highly ornamental cluster spreads to about a foot wide. Your plant will arrive fully rooted and ready to display, accompanied by a 5 in. concrete container. If placing outside, we recommend gradually acclimating your new euphorbia to direct Sunlight. Inside, place the plant near your Sunniest window for optimal color and form. If you live where frost is not a concern, you can plant in the garden, preferably in spring or early fall to avoid trying to establish during Summer heat or winter chill. Water in morning during hot weather for best appearance. Avoid white sap from interior of plant; wash well with soap and water.Water thoroughly when the soil is dry
